- Masks in the Classroom Update:
As many of you know, I'm expecting my second child at the end of March of 2021. After visit to my OBGYN this past Thursday, my doctor is recommending that I "stay six feet away from students if possible, especially for those who are not masked." Obviously this isn't fully possible in my role, so with the increasing COVID restrictions, I want to communicate my highest encouragement for all students to wear a mask while in our learning space, for everyone's continued safety. - Term End Deadline - Term 1:
The term deadline for all assignments to come in and count toward the Term 1 Report Card is on this Friday, November 27. I have been communicating and working with students who have outstanding work, and have included their families if it was felt the student required familial support.
If you want to find out if your child has any outstanding assignments, please watch the video below, which is a tutorial about how to use OneNote to check our Weekly Checklists of Work. They can also walk you through how to access this. - Finish Listening to Prairie Lotus! Final Project starting this week:
For students who were absent throughout last week, we finished our Prairie Lotus read-aloud! The remaining chapters of the book are available through audio recording in our OneNote Class Notebook. They can be found in the Content Library > Prairie Lotus Read-Aloud > Audio Recordings. We listened to Chapters 23-27 last week and we'll be starting our final projects this coming week! Please have your child listen to any chapters they missed last week.
Take good care and be safe!
