My BluePrint - Reflection Expectations

February 3, 2020
Last week, we made a list of the learning artifacts that we are planning to upload to our digital portfolios. These portfolios are intended to be a collection of your work that acts as a resume of your school experience. Accompanying each artifact will be a reflection, which is a small piece of writing that discusses why the learning experience was significant to you, what you learned from the experience, and what successes and/or obstacles you faced along the way.

The rubric below is a one-point rubric, meaning if you meet all of the criteria on it, you fully meet expectations. This rubric outlines expectations about the reflections you will write for each of your learning artifacts on My Blueprint.

This first week, you will be expected to upload three learning artifacts with accompanying reflections. Reflection writing does not need to be more than 5-6 sentences in length, but the content MUST match the criteria in the rubric below. Don't forget to edit your work!

The Core Competencies

February 2020
The Core Competencies outlined below are the integral part of our curriculum in BC. These are the skills that make you a better human being and a positive contributor to a society.

At the end of Term 1, we created goals for Term 2 that aligned with the Core Competencies. What were those goals? How are you progressing? Have you even thought about them at all? Our check-in should lead you to think about how you've improved or how you can further improve to try to meet your goal.

At the end of Term 2, we'll make new goals for Term 3.
