Hello families of Division 1,
Thanks for a great first week! I appreciate those of you who have taken the time to fill out the survey to help me get to know your child better. If you still haven't filled it out, it helps me immensely to hit the ground running for the school year with their interests and strengths in mind. Please fill it out here if you haven't had the chance yet.
Many of you have been inquiring about the safety protocols in the classroom this week. We are following the BC Ministry of Health and BC CDC, School District #35, and our own Dorothy Peacock Elementary guidelines that would have been sent to you by Mr. Davids and Mrs. Driver in late August/early September. Please search your email for more information on those.
In terms of information that was shared with students, we were provided with a template of slides to speak with them about in their first days of attendance. You can click here to take a look at what we discussed. I recommend speaking with your child about the guidelines to gain more clarity from them on how things are working at the school level.
If you have any questions about health & safety protocols, please email me and I will do my best to answer them. If there are further concerns, these protocols are managed and maintained by our admin team at the school, and I will pass along any questions that I cannot answer to them.
