On Wednesday, we attended a field trip at Makercube and it was super duper fun! We got to make a light up acrylic sign with a wooden sand, almost completely from scratch. Here are the cool skills we got to try a hand at:
• laser etching a design onto an acrylic tile and sandblasting it
• measuring, cutting, and sanding a wooden base for the project
• soldering an upcycled USB cord to an LED strip
• assembling pieces for a cool final product!
A huge thank you goes to our parent volunteers: Daryl, Lynda, Ashley, Jenn, and Jonathan! We couldn't have done it without your help. We also took WAYYYY too many photos, so I have added them in a slideshow below. Enjoy!
