As the end of the term approaches, I wanted to provide you with an opportunity to see your student's progress toward assignment completion and to help them complete their work ahead of the term deadline. I keep track of all student assignments by maintaining a weekly checklist in the areas of Language Arts and Mathematics on Microsoft OneNote.
This can be accessed through your student's SD35 Microsoft Office 365 account, which can be found in their agenda. Watch the video below for a full tutorial on how to access the weekly assignments in LA and Math, as well as the corresponding checklists.
Please be aware that completion of assignments ≠ proficiency. Students can have fantastic work habits but may struggle with demonstrating proficiency with the competencies and content. Likewise, students can have poor work habits but excel in the competency area being measured.
We will discuss your student's academic competencies further at Student-Inclusive Conferences. For now, this is a way for you to support your student in building positive work habits ahead entering of high school.
Let me know if you have any questions about the tutorial, technical or otherwise.
